Our ‘Tenant Organizing Fundamentals’ training is an in-person training that emphasizes grassroots organizing practices, building relationships grounded in mutual self-interest, one-to-one relational meetings, and building the foundation of powerful tenant unions.

Tenants will meet and build relationships with other tenants organizing in their buildings, complexes, and neighborhoods in SC. We will follow the training with an opportunity for hands-on practice by going straight into a group canvass at a nearby apartment complex.

By the end of the training, attendees will be able to clearly state their self-interest, be equipped to have powerful conversations with their neighbors, and have tools to start organizing with tenants in their complex, city, or state.

Tri-County Tenant Union will provide snacks, travel support (gas gift cards), and childcare as needed. Please indicate if you’ll need any support when registering.
